Brian Mendelsohn, founding partner of The Mendelsohn Ertel Law Group, has been awarded the prestigious Leeza R. Cherniak Award of the Sword at the annual St. Crispin’s Day Federal Criminal Defense Conference. The award goes to a federal criminal defense lawyer who is a model for the federal defense community. The plaque recognizes “Consistent Valor in The Face of Adversity, Heroism in the Defense of Others, and Commitment to the Cause of Justice.”

The award carries the name of Leeza Cherniak, an icon of the federal defense community who passed away in 2007. Leeza showed generations of lawyers what it means to stand beside people facing the full power of the federal government. Receiving an award in her name is a humbling honor.

Brian has spent more than three decades defending people in federal court, including 28 years with the Federal Defender Program in Atlanta. At The Mendelsohn Ertel Law Group, that same commitment guides how our Atlanta federal criminal defense attorneys represent every client, whether the case involves an investigation, a trial, or sentencing.

If you or a loved one is facing a federal investigation or charges, fill out our contact page or call us at 404-885-8878 for a confidential consultation.
